New babies!

This morning, a gaggle of new fry were out swimming with the P. pulcher mother and father today. There appears to be about 50 or so new ones out there, which seems good for their first spawn. One of the fry, know known as "fast Eddy" was swimming above the rest and doing some cool loops when the father sucked him out of his mouth. One would have thought that the dad was hungry, but in fact he swam back to the others and spit the little guy out. Fast Eddy was in no way harmed by the ordeal. It is just another reminder that these fish make awesome parents. I will post pick as soon as I can take a decent one.

Well...It happened!

My Pel. Pulchers went ahead and bred again! I suppose that they cannot wait until they move into their new home. At this point, I will have to keep them in their 10gal and see what happens with the eggs. It has been about 2 days now and all of the eggs appear to still be in tact. I will let the parents look after the fry for a couple of weeks and then I will pull the parents into their bigger tank and allow the fry to grow in the 10 gal.

I will post pics as soon as I see fry swimming.
